About the Role

The Senior Strategic Business Planner will be responsible for developing business units' strategic, tactical, and operational plans to achieve set targets. This includes influencing and implementing the merchandise strategy, managing range assortments and replenishment, and managing financial metrics and sales trends.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate, diploma, or degree in Business administration or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed, and strategic approach to work are essential. The successful candidate will also have strong business acumen and merchant thinking, as well as good organisational and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing business units' strategic, tactical, and operational plans to achieve set targets.
  • Influencing and implementing the merchandise strategy.
  • Management of range assortments and replenishment.
  • Management of financial metrics and sales trends.
  • Communication and relationship management of key stakeholders such as suppliers, buyers, operations, etc.
  • Reporting on performance, initiatives, and action plans to senior management periodically.
