Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Director of Healthcare Operations Strategy to lead our sub-acute rehabilitation centre. This role will involve providing strategic direction, executing the healthcare strategy, and fostering sustainable interdisciplinary collaboration.

About the Role:

  • Estimated Salary Range: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards
  • Reporting Requirements: Provide feedback to COID and Group Operations Management on occupancy rate, progress of the sub-acute rehab centre operating model, hospital medical spend, and provider usage patterns
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the performance of the sub-acute Rehabilitation centre to deliver a best-in-class service to all relevant stakeholders, meeting or exceeding all key performance areas and within budget

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Strategic Direction: Implement the healthcare strategy, provide creative direction, and execute the strategy while monitoring deliverables
  • Foster Collaboration: Develop a sub-acute rehab centre that is fit for the market, ensure compliance with legislation, and align with the overall RMA strategy
  • Manage the Centre: Oversee all activities of the rehabilitation centre, develop an operating model, and support the rehabilitation team to execute the rehabilitation and early return to work framework
  • Customer Relations: Develop promotional campaigns for the centre, engage with hospital management and provider networks, and work collaboratively with managers to promote RMA benefits and negotiate improved tariffs

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in any of the therapy professions (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Speech Therapy) or Relevant healthcare qualification NQF Level 9: Masters Degree in an Accredited Healthcare or Insurance or Management Qualification
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years clinical experience, including a rehabilitation environment or experience; Experience in Rehabilitation of the injured preferred
  • Skillset: Exceptional communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, diagnostic, analytic, and problem-solving skills, well-developed organisation and time management skills
