The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively. Additionally, they will possess proficiency in conducting audits and preparing for external audits, as well as experience in managing a team and overseeing quality control operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Safety Management: Maintain and update the organization's food safety management system, handle customer complaints from receipt to resolution, and ensure that product release requirements are met and verified.
- Lead Audits: Prepare and lead external audits, including FSSC 22000 and customer audits, manage non-conformances through corrective and preventative actions, and schedule and chair food safety meetings and management review meetings.
- Quality Control: Verify online quality control activities, manage retention samples, conduct laboratory tests as needed, and arrange the courier of product release samples to customers.
- Certification: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field, and certification in FSSC 22000 or similar food safety management systems.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry.
- Skillset: Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, proficiency in conducting audits, and experience in managing a team.
