Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven External Sales Representative to join our team at Oxyon People Solutions. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new sales prospects and managing existing clients to drive business growth and expand our market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell products by establishing contact with new and existing customers
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Recommend solutions to meet customer needs
  • Visit and quote customers to drive sales
  • Follow up on quotations and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards
  • Invoice customers and manage stock to complete customer back orders
  • Perform deliveries when necessary
  • Follow up on customer back orders and ensure timely resolution
  • Complete customer planning and visits on Repsly
  • Conduct cold calls to expand our customer base
  • Arrange and conduct demos on welding machines
  • Complete company vehicle checklists and hand them over to the Workshop Foreman
  • Keep company vehicles clean and tidy at all times
  • Attend to all job-related administration
  • Attend to any and all ad-hoc duties required by management
  • Abide by the company's Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Meet monthly targets and GPs as discussed by Management and according to contract
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience and a Matric qualification. A tertiary qualification will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a Code 8 driver's license and experience working with customers and maintaining customer relations.

The candidate should also have problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to the environment, and the ability to plan routes for the week and visit customers accordingly. Time management skills are also essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will have knowledge of welding machines, welding consumables, gas and gas cutting equipment, power tools, lifting equipment, generators, abrasives, spares, hand tools, plasma systems, and compressors.
