Job Summary

Bright Placements is seeking a highly skilled Bush Lodge Operations Manager to join our team. As the anchor of our lodge operations, you will provide exceptional service and support to our guests and staff.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering 5-star hospitality experiences. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our lodge, including managing housekeepers and butlers, handling guest relations, and ensuring seamless transitions between roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reception Duties: Welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, handle daily reception operations, arrange transfers and guest trips, and prepare accurate guest invoices.
  • Camp Manager Duties: Host guests, supervise housekeepers and butlers, conduct room checks, provide room orientation, and coordinate bush banqueting events.
  • Admin Manager Duties: Handle creditors, manage payroll, and utilize Res Request or similar hotel management software.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Administrative skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with hotel management software.
  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and staff.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a bush lodge environment. 5-star hospitality experience is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and FGASA Level 2 certification.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
