Job Description

At Select Motor Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Professional to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to drive marketing and communications strategies in the automotive sector.

Job Summary:
  • This position involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications plans that align with business objectives.
  • You will be responsible for managing relationships with media partners, affiliates, and external stakeholders to ensure effective public relations.
  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, creativity, and attention to detail, with the ability to craft captivating content and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

We offer a competitive salary of R900,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:Marketing Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Manage the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including social media promotions and paid media advertising.
Team Management and Leadership:
  • Provide day-to-day operations management, ensuring smooth project execution and effective team communication.
  • Assess team performance, evaluating successes and weaknesses, and implementing improvements for best results.
Media and Public Relations:
  • Manage relationships with media partners, affiliates, and other external stakeholders to maintain positive public relations.
  • Ensure effective execution of on-the-ground marketing initiatives and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
Social Media and Content Management:
  • Manage all social media channels, driving engagement and promoting brand awareness.
  • Deliver high-quality content that resonates with target audiences and supports marketing goals.
Reporting and Analytics:
  • Develop and deliver monthly reports, highlighting performance across various marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze data from marketing analytics tools to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the OEM/dealership environment.
  • Strong passion for and deep understanding of the automotive sector, with excellent writing skills and creativity.
  • Proven experience in public relations, with a track record of successful PR campaigns and media relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
