Staff Solutions Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
- Menu Development and Implementation: Work with the kitchen management team to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food safety and quality control procedures are followed, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and utensils.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen sections to ensure that all aspects of food preparation and service are coordinated and executed to the highest standards.
- Education: Diploma or other formal qualification in Culinary Arts.
- Experience: At least 5 years experience at a 5-star Lodge/Hotel, with a minimum of 2 years experience at a CDP level.
- Certifications: Hold a current food handler health card or HACCP/Food Safety certificate.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of GAAP POS and MS Excel, as well as good knowledge of food costing and wastage control.
- Personal Qualities: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
