About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves managing daily delivery schedules, ensuring raw materials stock availability, and overseeing the receiving, handling, and storage of stocks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily Delivery Schedule Management: Ensure timely and efficient management of daily deliveries.
  • Stock Availability**: Maintain an optimal level of raw materials stock to meet production demands.
  • Incoming Goods Receiving**: Ensure accurate and thorough receipting of incoming goods.
  • Stock Handling and Storage**: Implement effective systems for storing and retrieving stocks.
  • Material Issuing**: Ensure accurate weighing and issuing of materials for production requirements.
  • Stock Taking Process**: Manage and maintain up-to-date stock records.
  • Quality Assurance**: Monitor adherence to quality procedures and standards.
  • Legislative Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
  • 5S Principles**: Apply 5S principles consistently in the workplace.
  • Auditing and Inspection**: Conduct regular audits and inspections of the area and equipment.
  • Incident Investigation**: Investigate incidents and assess risks.
  • Performance Review**: Regularly review performance and promote awareness.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Matric Certificate**: A Matric certificate is essential for this position.
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management**: A diploma in supply chain management or a related field is required.
  • Leadership Training**: Leadership training and experience are necessary for this role.
  • Warehouse Management Knowledge**: Knowledge of warehouse management and supply chain principles is essential.
  • Experience**: At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in procurement and inventory management is required.
  • Administration Skills**: Strong administration and management skills are necessary for this position.
  • Customer Service**: Good customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Retail and Wholesale Industry**: Experience in the retail and wholesale industry is desirable.
  • Inventory Management**: Strong inventory management skills are necessary for this role.
  • Basic Personnel Practices**: Basic knowledge of personnel practices is required.
