About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced E-LEARNING DESIGNER to join our team at Work Africa. As an E-LEARNING DESIGNER, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to design and develop learning content aligned with curriculum and sound instructional design principles and pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop engaging online activities and content that achieve learning outcomes.
  • Apply sound instructional design principles to dual learning solutions within academic programmes.
  • Utilise a variety of technologies in the design and delivery of innovative learning content.
  • Create functional prototypes, design course flows and write scripts for online lessons.
  • Develop eLearning solutions using an LMS and relevant authoring tools.
  • Develop supporting material (audio, visual and interactive) that reinforces the brand identity of the Institution.
  • Support and collaborate with the Student Support Office in creating student journey collateral content.
  • Support and collaborate with the Marketing Department in incorporating the Institutional brand into marketing material.
  • Report regularly to the Manager: E-Learning Development regarding deliverable management, training, and development needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design.
  • Proven ability to translate a deep understanding of adult learning theory, design principles, and learning technology into practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts successfully.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on your own and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions with a mix of formal and informal elements.
  • QA (Deliver final content with a low error count).
  • Experience using instructional technology, including learning management systems, authoring tools, and video editing software.
  • Proficient using AI.
