The Operations and Technology Director is responsible for aligning and driving the overall operations strategy for NS. This role heads up the resource management, procurement, production, and facilities teams and reports to the EXCO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and refine agency processes
  • Establish scalable processes for Agency growth
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational procedures documents
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and workflows to enable client management and process optimization

  • Provide regular and documented feedback and updates to MD on all Agency processes and planned initiatives
Technology
  • Drive technological innovation in all aspects of operations

  • Minimize staff turnover to maximize output
  • Preempt human resource capacity issues
  • Ensure that resource capacity planning is accurate and updated
  • Create a collaborative culture
  • Assist the People team with recruitment
  • Drive high-performance culture in Operational teams
  • Collaborate with EXCO members to drive Agency strategy throughout operations
  • Provide regular and documented updates to MD on People
Profit
  • Drive overall agency profitability through efficient processes, planning, technology, and hiring practices
  • Manage high-level vendor relationships to ensure alignment and efficiency
  • Drive profitability and quality in Agency production (print, web, etc.)
  • Provide strategies for reducing costs and driving profit in relevant departments
  • Provide regular updates to MD on budgets and profitability estimates
Requirements

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as an Operations and Technology Director on their CV, along with relevant experience and three references.
