Job Title: Systems Integrator

About the Role:

The Systems Integrator at HR Genie is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Solutions Delivery and involves investigating, designing, documenting, and revising software specifications. The Systems Integrator will also identify and fix software faults, provide status updates, and maintain and enhance current software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and designers to create new software applications.
  • Schedule the software development life cycle (SDLC) stages.
  • Help create and document software specs and needs.
  • Examine and record software user needs.
  • Research new languages, standards, and software for application development.
  • Suggest, plan, and implement software upgrades and improvements.
  • Develop and code software applications and programs according to requirements.
  • Conduct and track software performance tests to identify problem areas and fix mistakes.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for fixing issues.
  • Create data and draft reports on the programming process for management and team members.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining user guides and manuals.
  • Develop programming scripts to improve application operation, interoperability, and aesthetics.
  • Conduct research on new application development software packages, languages, and standards to aid in development and procurement processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Responsible for IPT Voice and Analog Gateways maintenance, upgrades, refresh, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Responsible for technical support of Cisco Unified Collaboration related technologies.
  • Update as-built documentation of infrastructure and work instructions.
  • Generate and activate security certificates for Cisco products according to vendor best practice.
  • Identify potential risks prior, during, and after solution implementation.
  • Certify relevant products supported on time.
  • Share knowledge, coach, and mentor L1-L2 engineers regularly.
  • Draft and share best practice documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to work outside of South Africa for short periods when required.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Matric and a tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent (NQF level 7).
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience directly related to Systems Integration.
  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Asp.net core, MVC, CSS, Bootstrap, XML, HTML5, Entity Framework, Link, SSRS, JQuery, JavaScript, MS SQL/Oracle, Web Service/Windows communication Foundation/API, Azure DevOps, Git, Agile, AngularJS, and Python.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications, mobile app development, integrated development environments, Windows operating systems, and SQL databases.
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies and hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
