Business Development Engineer - Renewable Energy Solutions

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Engineer to lead the development of renewable energy solutions in Cape Town, WC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in medium to large commercial and industrial (C&I) projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to design and optimize technical solutions for renewable energy projects
  • Preliminary technical solution design, costing, and proposal development
  • Assist in client contract negotiations and sales strategy development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers in the industry

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in renewable energy or related fields
  • Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators, and electrical reticulation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions
  • Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and work in a matrix organizational structure
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering
