To effectively lead and develop a team of Outbound Debt Collection Agents, one must drive daily and monthly production, achieve set targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and provide accurate daily reporting on individual and team performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving is crucial for success in this role.
- Candidates should be customer-centric and able to take ownership of their work.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages, especially Word and Excel, is required.
- A proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines is essential.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills are necessary to guide the team towards achieving set goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Taking accountability and responsibility for one's actions is critical in this position.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
A minimum Matric qualification is mandatory.
- Tertiary qualification or course in management is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years' experience in a debt collection call center with a minimum of 2 years leadership experience as a Team Leader/Team Manager/Supervisor is required.
- Experience with handling IR procedures and performance improvement processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of reporting platforms is necessary.
- Understanding of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) Regulations is required.
- Understanding of the debit check process is also necessary.
The salary range for this position is R4000 to R6500 per month.
