Purpose of the role:
To establish effective relationships with external customers' brokers and suppliers to track and process insurance claims, as well as other related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing short term claims received from clients.
- Appointing assessors or loss adjusters as necessary.
- AUTHORIZATION OF CLAIMS while maintaining a strong working relationship with all external service providers.
- Authorizing panel beaters for approved motor claims.
- Managing incoming emails, calls, and broker queries efficiently.
- Preparing repudiation and/or no cover letters for sign-off.
- Closing claims on all systems promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics.
- Minimum of 120 FAIS credits or a NQF 5 qualification in Short Term Insurance.
- At least 5 years of experience in short term (domestic and commercial lines) claims handling.
- RE5 advantageous but not essential.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Logical thinking ability.
- Task-oriented approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
