Board Secretary and Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Board Secretary and Governance Specialist to join our team at Phaki Personnel.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Director: Governance, Legal and Secretariat, assist in the logistics of registering Trustees with the Master of the High Court, and implement and manage the risk management process.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare for and organize meetings, including compiling and finalizing information/document packs, organizing logistics, and corresponding with Board members.
- Assist in the development of an Annual Board Calendar and ensure that meetings are held in accordance with the calendar.
- Implement and manage the risk management process, assisting the Director: Governance, Legal and Secretariat with implementation and monitoring of the risk management process and plan.
- Compile database of relevant legislation and maintain up-to-date filing and document management system for the Board Secretarial function.
- Process remuneration and travel costs of Board members and assist in budget management.
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in governance, risk management, and administration.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
The salary for this position is R120,000 - R150,000 per annum, depending on experience. The package includes medical aid, retirement fund, and annual leave.
