Japanese International Host

At Crew Life at Sea, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Japanese International Host to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our Japanese-speaking guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between Japanese-speaking guests and the rest of the crew, facilitating seamless communication and a positive experience for all.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our guests to ensure their stay with us is truly unforgettable.
  • Host engaging events and activities for Japanese-speaking guests, showcasing the rich culture and traditions of Japan and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
  • Offer translation and interpretation services as needed, ensuring that all guests and crew members feel welcome and included.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, representing Crew Life at Sea in a positive light and upholding our high standards of service.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests, working together to create unforgettable memories.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, prioritizing the wellbeing of our guests and crew members.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by the management team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and verbal, is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building strong relationships with guests and crew members.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment is vital for this role, as is a strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism.
  • A passion for travel and cultural exchange is a must, as is the ability to commit to a full-time 68-month contract at sea.
