Job Title: Campaign Manager: Category Growth Specialist

Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is seeking a highly skilled Campaign Manager: Category Growth Specialist to join our team in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a social media paid content strategy that supports takealot.com's marketing objectives, integrating paid and organic channels.
  2. Run, optimize, and manage takealot's performance channels, focusing on paid social and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Liaise with other departments to direct marketing priorities that enable business success across paid social and other paid media channels.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with commercial partners at an account manager level, advising on best practices across performance and organic media channels.
  5. Develop and execute paid social media strategies for key business categories.
  6. Work closely with the social media manager to align organic and paid strategies and campaigns across social media.
  7. Execute all commercial paid campaigns as booked by the advertising or retail marketing teams.
  8. Implement campaign strategies, including campaign setup, bidding strategy executions, and feedback loops, and A/B testing across all performance marketing channels.
  9. Run, optimize, and manage campaign sets across various channels and platforms.
  10. Develop, scale, and continuously refine and optimize campaign strategies for the future, ensuring a full-funnel marketing strategy complements each performance channel.
  11. Plot out category-specific growth across digital channels, identifying strategic growth audiences and building a high-quality category-specific media plan.
Requirements
  1. Data-driven decision-making capabilities with the ability to converse with all levels of management.
  2. A strong problem-solving and solution-orientated mindset.
  3. Attention to detail in all levels of campaign management.
  4. E-commerce experience is required.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. A tertiary qualification in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or computer science is required.
  2. At least 3-5 years of experience in a campaign manager role.
  3. Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and DoubleClick are required.
  4. Experience on Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and social media platforms such as Meta Ads, TikTok, and Snapchat is beneficial.
