Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Digital Transaction Specialist to join our team at Nedbank. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement:
    • Address client concerns related to queue flow or digital devices.
    • Assist clients with downloading online applications and resolving login issues.
    • Help clients purchase value-added services, such as pre-paid data and airtime, online or through self-service devices.
    • Provide clients with statements, cards, and other relevant documentation from self-service zones.
  • Business Operations:
    • Process cash transactions over the counter.
    • Action control checklists for tellers, enquiries, and foreign functions daily.
    • Balance and secure branch stock holdings, including cards.
    • Control queuing processes and prioritize clients with special needs.
    • Destroy old stock, such as cards, identified by reports.
    • Enable inter-bank transfers by preparing transactional documents and originals in the required format by the required deadline for handover to couriers.
    • Ensure ATM/ID availability through balancing and loading of cash and attending to down devices with first-line device maintenance support.
    • Execute cash management strategies within the store, focusing on Treasury and holdings.
    • Load cash, balance, and provide first-line device maintenance and replenish consumables for all store devices.
    • Minimize losses by declaring discrepancies in cash holdings.
    • Process client deposits, withdrawals, change requests, and transfers following relevant procedures and policies.
    • Process client forex requests according to procedures and policies, including FBN, bills, and transfers.
  • Risk and Compliance:
    • Mitigate risk by controlling counter and drop safe limits according to policy.
    • Prevent fraud and losses by adhering to mandates, client and transaction authentication procedures, and policies.
    Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Diploma
    • 1-2 years of experience in Retail/Banking Client Service, Cash, Technology Savvy, 1st Line Problem Resolution, and Foreign experience where applicable.
    • Banking Services (example, Higher Certificate in Banking Services - NQF5)
    Estimated Salary

R120,000 per annum.
