This position reports to the Group Chief Executive Officer and is based in Dubai, UAE.
Job Description
- Develop and implement strategies for growth focused on the UAE, the broader Gulf Region, and export markets across Africa and Asia.
- Have full responsibility over P&L, financial reports, building annual business plans, and achieving set targets in terms of revenue, margins, and market share in sales and after-sales.
- Set up a company in Saudi Arabia, including factory and aftermarket providing spare parts and service.
- Manage the business unit team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning to maximize team performance and achieve business unit objectives across all functions.
- Develop and lead channel/distribution partnerships for export to Africa and Asia.
The Successful Applicant
You should have 10 years of experience in senior management roles in the mechanical or electrical manufacturing/industrial industries. Proven commercial experience in The Middle East and African markets; experience in international power and/or renewable energy companies is an advantage. Full P&L management experience is required. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is an advantage but not necessary. You should be willing to travel across Africa and The Middle East. Experience of ERP implementations - Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial. Any experience within Renewables (solar/battery-hybrid solutions) or gas generators will be an advantage.
