Job Overview

Our accounting services company in Reservoir Hills is seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering the SARS eFiling platform, handling tax enquiries and follow-ups via the SARS call centre, and completing individual and company tax returns. They will also calculate and submit provisional taxes, PAYE recons, and VAT submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of the SARS eFiling platform
  • Tax enquiries and follow-ups via the SARS call centre
  • Completion of individual and company tax returns
  • Calculation and submission of provisional taxes
  • Payroll administration (PAYE recons and EMP 501)
  • VAT administration (VAT 201s and recons)
  • Application for Tax Clearances and AIT Clearances
  • Attending to SARS audits and verifications
  • Submission of disputes and ADR's to SARS
  • Dealing with SARS debt collectors, auditors, and correspondence
  • Deferral and compromise applications
  • Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and Customs registrations
  • Interpreting financial statements
  • Drafting asset and liability schedules
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Pastel and Caseware experience is an advantage
  • Accounting ability and drafting skills to Trial Balance level
