Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Extrusion Line Supervisor to join our team at Complement Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the castline department, ensuring that production meets quality, waste, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the operation of the castline department to ensure compliance with BSC & OHSA standards.
  • Monitor and control production to meet quality, waste, and production standards and goals.
  • Ensure that plant and processes run as per IMS standards, SOPs, WI, formats, specifications, best practices, and run parameters.
  • Implement Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and methodology to sustain current and future continual improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve service problems, report defective material, coordinate job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information.
  • Report production and systems accurately and timely, including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, and MUDI-MUDA-MURA.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while operating the machine.
  • Motivate employees to comply with safety protocols and participate in training programs.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience supervising extrusion lines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Industries preferred: manufacturing, plastics, steel, pulp & paper, sugar, fmcg, packaging.
  • Diploma in Plastic Manufacturing or relevant Engineering Qualification.
  • Diploma in Supervisory Management.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Ability to self-manage and multitask.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to lead and manage the performance of others.
  • Timeliness.

  • Supervising, Learning, Informing, Reporting, Deciding, Checking Objects.
  • Reviewing, Using Instruments, Teamwork, Following Instructions, Checking Written Information, performing physical tasks, using a keyboard/computer, Calculating/Counting.
