Castline Supervisor SIC Section-In-Charge

Complement Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Castline Supervisor to join our team in eThekwini, Durban. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the extrusion line department, meeting quality, waste, and production standards, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the operation of the cast line department to ensure compliance with BSC & OHSA standards.
  • Ensure the department meets quality, waste, and production standards and goals.
  • Coordinate job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve service problems and report defective material.
  • Monitor and report production and systems accurately and timely.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and visitors while operating the machine.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of experience supervising extrusion lines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Diploma in Plastic Manufacturing or relevant Engineering Qualification.
  • Diploma in Supervisory Management.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Ability to lead and manage the performance of others.
  • Timeliness.

Competencies:

  • Supervising, Learning, Informing, Reporting, Deciding, Checking Objects.
  • Reviewing, Using Instruments, Teamwork, Following Instructions, Checking Written Information.
  • Collect, analyze data, and implements effective countermeasures for identified root cause with zero occurrence.
