We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Complement Recruitment. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion and cast line machinery in a manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain extrusion and cast line machinery
  • Conduct pre-use safety inspections and ensure proper setup and execution of safety procedures
  • Monitor machine parameters and quality of product
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with production team to meet quality and production standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating extrusion and cast line machinery
  • Grade 12 / Matric compulsory
  • Mathematics and technical ability, understanding essential
  • Certificate or Diploma in Plastic Manufacturing / Extrusion Operations / N6 Electrical / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering advantageous
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to be self-directed and multitask
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Timeliness
  • Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane license and operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • Must be prepared to work shifts
  • Work overtime on request
  • Must have own reliable transport to and from Cato Ridge
  • Good Timekeeping and attendance are essential
