Job Title: Implementation & Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Implementation & Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Assign Services (Pty) Ltd - JHB. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the improvement of processes and systems, implementing programs that will have continuing long-term benefits, and developing plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to improve existing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply chain implementation functions, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Analyze and provide best solutions for new distribution bids, considering factors such as cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain implementation and enhancement project plans, focusing on deliverables, tasks, and due dates.
  • Collaborate with vendors to implement enhancements, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control the quality of work done, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to warehouse managers and supervisors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assess processes and implement continuous improvement techniques for performance optimization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Manage project costs in conjunction with managers, ensuring effective management of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure the effective management of any variances in stock, identifying and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage stock control and shrinkage in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing losses.
  • Control transport yields, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Perform other delegated tasks as assigned by the reporting manager, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) and a relevant undergraduate qualification in Logistics or a related field.
  • Postgraduate education in a commerce-related field with industry accreditations (e.g., CSCP) is an added benefit.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years' proven experience in Supply Chain management, with a track record of successful implementation.
  • Exceptional computer literacy and skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and use own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and a neat and professional appearance.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to work in a pressured environment and adapt to deadlines.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the industry, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
