Business Development Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Business Development Associate to support our Financial Planning Partners in delivering exceptional client services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Catch Recruit, where you will play a key role in driving business growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, operations, and client services support. You will serve as a liaison between the practice and regional office/head office, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your key responsibilities will include:
Client Services:
- Implement client services experience as defined by the Head of Operations
- Take full responsibility for administrative processes and controls in the Financial Planning practice(s)
- Liaise with product providers (PPs) on behalf of Financial Planner Partners
- Follow formal complaint resolution process
Operations:
- Collate clients' related information and prepare documentation for engagement between Financial Planning Partner and client
- Capture and check FICA and AML on client onboard process
- Check transition documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Administer client transfer and new business transactions
Administration:
- Submit intermediary appointment notes to relevant PPs
- Monitor submission of intermediary appointment notes
- Capture and check new business documentation
- Submit new business applications with supporting documentation to relevant PPs
Marketing Support:
- Assist in organizing client events
- Function as primary point of contact for clients, strengthening relationships
Office Management:
- Support general office management, including reception, facilities, meeting room management, and stationery
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook essential)
- SharePoint
Soft Skills:
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- High energy individual who is customer-centric and relationship-oriented
- Methodical, accurate, and meticulous attention to detail
- Initiative-taking work ethic
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, plan, and manage projects
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Critical thinking: strategize, research, and interpret
- Problem-solving: creative skills to evaluate problems and identify best solutions
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-3 years' experience in the financial services industry required
- Relevant tertiary education or courses
Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum depending on location and experience
