Job Summary

Fempower is seeking a highly skilled Winder Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade and experience in commissioning, fault finding, and repairs on winders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission, fault find, and repair winders to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures
  • Operate and maintain analogue and digital variable speed drives
  • Ensure compliance with mine health and safety standards
  • Develop and implement winder safety and control philosophies
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
  • Inspect and maintain head gear, ropes, and attachments, shaft, and loading arrangements
  • Perform PLC programming on Mitsubishi, CTI, Siemens, and Code sys
  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues

Requirements

  • Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • Electrical trade certificate
  • Relevant 3-year/N4 diploma or equivalent in an engineering field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in winder commissioning, fault finding, and repairs
  • Completed Impala winder modules advantageous
