Winder Specialist

Fempower is seeking a highly skilled Winder Specialist to join our team. As a Winder Specialist, you will be responsible for commissioning, fault finding, and repairing winders, as well as ensuring compliance with mine health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Commissioning and testing of winders to ensure optimal performance
- Fault finding and repair of winders, including head gear, ropes, and attachments
- Ensuring compliance with mine health and safety standards and risk assessment procedures
- Operating and maintaining winder and associated mechanical equipment
- Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues
- Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
- Electrical trade certificate or equivalent
- Relevant 3-year/N4 diploma or equivalent in an engineering field
- Minimum of 7 years working experience in commissioning, fault finding, and repairs on winders
- Completed Impala winder modules will be advantageous
- Mine Health and Safety standards
- Risk Assessment
- Analogue and Digital Variable speed drives
- Winder safety and control philosophies
- Hydraulics
- Knowledge of head gear, ropes, and attachments, shaft & loading arrangement
- Winder and associated mechanical equipment
- Fault finding skills
- PLC training on Mitsubishi, CTI, Siemens and Code sys
- Computer Literacy
- Communication & interpersonal skills
