Job Title: Winder Specialist

Fempower is seeking a highly skilled Winder Specialist to join our team. As a Winder Specialist, you will be responsible for commissioning, fault finding, and repairing winders, as well as ensuring compliance with mine health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning and testing of winders to ensure optimal performance
  • Fault finding and repair of winders, including head gear, ropes, and attachments
  • Ensuring compliance with mine health and safety standards and risk assessment procedures
  • Operating and maintaining winder and associated mechanical equipment
  • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues
Requirements:
  • Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • Electrical trade certificate or equivalent
  • Relevant 3-year/N4 diploma or equivalent in an engineering field
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in commissioning, fault finding, and repairs on winders
  • Completed Impala winder modules will be advantageous
