Job Title: Senior IAM Engineer – Subject Matter Expert

Acuity Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Engineer to join our team as a subject matter expert for a leading financial services group in South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

About the Role:

As a Senior IAM Engineer, you will oversee the implementation and operation of IAM solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements. You will collaborate with business leaders, project managers, developers, and architects to define and address IAM needs. Your expertise will be sought after to act as the subject matter expert on IAM topics such as user provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), and privilege escalation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure IAM platforms for both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and project managers to define IAM needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on IAM topics such as user provisioning and RBAC.
  • Engage with technology partners to integrate IAM solutions across platforms.
  • Design and implement IAM procedures and best practices.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Cloud certification or substantial real-world experience with IAM technologies (AWS/Azure preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in deploying and managing IAM solutions in large enterprises, with familiarity in tools such as SailPoint, Ping, or NetIQ.
  • Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, particularly with AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in IAM federation capabilities like SSO, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, PowerShell, and scripting in both Windows and Linux environments.
