Job Title: Senior IAM Engineer – Subject Matter Expert

Acuity Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Engineer to join our team as a subject matter expert for a leading financial services group in South Africa.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This will involve implementing, configuring, and maintaining IAM platforms for both cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation and operation of IAM solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, developers, and architects to define and address IAM needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on IAM topics such as user provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), and privilege escalation.
  • Engage with technology partners to integrate IAM solutions across platforms.
  • Design and implement IAM procedures and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and IAM best practices.
Requirements:
  • Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Cloud certification or substantial real-world experience with IAM technologies (AWS/Azure preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in deploying and managing IAM solutions in large enterprises, with familiarity in tools such as SailPoint, Ping, or NetIQ.
  • Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, particularly with AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in IAM federation capabilities like SSO, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, PowerShell, and scripting in both Windows and Linux environments.
