Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule a team of bartenders and bar staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar and lounge area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good working condition.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with guests, providing personalized service and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to create and implement promotions, events, and special menus to drive sales and increase guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and waste, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving inventory, as well as conducting regular inventory counts and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer preferences to continuously improve the bar offerings and service experience.
  • Act as a role model for the team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times and providing guidance and support when needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and their preparation methods.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and experience with inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship.
