Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Jobs2day. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing contract administration
  • Achieving savings from savings plans and strategies
  • Limiting escalation and cost increases on contract commodities
  • Increasing accredited BBBEE spend
  • Efficient and effective sourcing and purchasing to ensure material and service availability
  • Vendor management and vendor performance
  • Initiating and driving activities to increase contract cover and automated purchasing
  • Effective negotiation with suppliers on price, escalation, etc.
  • Creating, issuing, and submitting all purchase orders for consumables and indirect goods and services
  • Preparing, negotiating, and reviewing all capex adjudications with internal requesting department managers
  • Managing the tender process through identifying, screening, and selecting suppliers
  • Managing the buying process for all spares and equipment for the Technical department
  • Communicating requirements, approach, and policies with tender suppliers
  • Executing contract leases for contracts
  • Ensuring compliance to global company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring the scope of tactical purchase orders is clear through communication with suppliers and end users
  • Assessing tactical sourcing opportunities through data gathering and analysis
  • Facilitating the end-to-end tactical sourcing process with FKSA stakeholders
  • Assisting with the review of supplier scorecard results to identify improvement opportunities
  • Emphasizing the importance of safety with suppliers and supplier/contractor HSEC compliance
  • Identifying possible cost savings by conducting benchmarking exercises
  • Assisting in sourcing new suppliers for current and new products
  • Supporting procurement projects
  • Actioning QMS tasks
  • Responsible for good housekeeping in the area of responsibility

Qualification and Experience:

  • Qualification in Procurement or B. Degree or equivalent in a relevant Procurement/Pharmaceutical field
  • 5 years Managerial experience within procurement
  • PC literate in SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferable.
