Settlement Officer

CA Financial Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Settlement Officer to join their established fund services team. With a strong focus on stable growth, this role is ideal for candidates with no less than 2 years' experience in a similar role within fund services, wealth or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Capture and process trades to the accounting system ensuring accurate and timely settlements.
  2. Verify trade matches between client notifications and counterparty confirmations.
  3. Reconcile manager notifications and counterparty confirmations.
  4. Sending settlement instructions to custodians for all trades.
  5. Manage trade status and requirements.
  6. Maintain broker settlement details, contact information and brokerage rates.
  7. Monitor front office trades for STP settlement into the accounting platform.
  8. Compile incident reports and assist in implementing and maintaining process controls.

Requirements:

  1. A completed tertiary qualification in Commerce, Investments or Economics or similar field.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Settlements role in Fund Services, Investment or Wealth Management environment.
  3. Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments essential.
  4. Knowledge and experience on both local and international markets.
