Board Support Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to serve as Company Secretary and provide governance guidance to the Board. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Company Secretarial role and strong knowledge of corporate governance practices.
Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance on corporate governance and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Arrange induction and training for new Board members ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain governance documents, including Board Charter and Committee Terms of Reference.
- Coordinate the development of work plans for the Board and sub-committees.
- Support the CEO on strategic matters, including preparing and managing the Board calendar and meeting materials.
- Coordinate Board evaluation processes and report on outcomes.
- Draft agendas for the Executive Committee meetings.
- Postgraduate qualification (Chartered Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant, or Law degree).
- 10 years' experience in a Company Secretarial role or similar.
- 5-7 years' team management experience.
- 3-5 years' strategic management experience.
- Public sector experience preferred.
- SAICA or relevant professional body membership.
