The Board of Trustees seeks highly qualified individuals to fill vacancies as Non-Executive Directors for a 3-year term. As a public benefit organisation, National Construction Incubator Trust (NCI) aims to develop and mentor emerging construction companies in South Africa.
Established in 2006, NCI is mandated to enhance the efficiency and effective management of businesses through technical and business administration skills infusion. To achieve this, the Trust requires a diverse set of competencies, experiences, and skills to strengthen its delivery.
The applicants must possess high integrity, honesty, transparency, ethical leadership, professional competence, due care, confidentiality, accountability, and understanding of public sector governance, private sector governance, and legislative requirements.
Role Responsibilities- To contribute strategically to the Board, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets, and evaluating performance.
- Supporting the Executive Management Committee and ensuring effective governance in line with relevant legislation.
- Providing timely legal advice and counsel on corporate governance, contract negotiations, litigation, risk management, regulatory compliance, and general business practice.
- Leading the board, recruiting members in a timely fashion, and working closely with the CEO to ensure smooth governance processes.
