About the Role

The Regional Marketing Manager will oversee strategic marketing initiatives, budget management, brand positioning, performance marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is critical to scaling growth, driving brand marketing, generating revenue, and managing vendor and channel marketing relationships.

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the company in the region.
  • Collaborate with teams to plan for growth and develop innovative campaigns.
  • Manage the marketing budget to maximize value and optimize acquisition costs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Sub-Saharan African region, particularly in South Africa, and at least 5+ years in a senior marketing role, ideally in the technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Defining and implementing marketing strategies for the company in the region.
  • Collaborating with teams to plan for growth and develop innovative campaigns.
  • Managing the marketing budget to maximize value and optimize acquisition costs.
  • Diversifying marketing channels to reduce reliance on a single source.
  • Developing and implementing marketing plans for its vendor relationships.
  • Overseeing end-to-end Event Management of events.
  • Overseeing marketing campaigns across digital, social media, PR, and other channels.
  • Balancing content promotion to drive user acquisition and retention.
  • Leading CRM efforts to improve user retention, lifetime value, and upselling.
  • Analyzing data to optimize marketing strategies and monitor key performance indicators.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in the Sub-Saharan African region, particularly in South Africa.
  • At least 5+ years in a senior marketing role, ideally in the technology industry.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and teams effectively.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Proficient in brand marketing, performance marketing, and customer acquisition.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience in Digital Marketing necessary.
  • B2B Marketing experience is a plus including but not limited to Vendor Platform and Portal Management.
