About the Job:
The TQM Specialist will be responsible for advising business units on quality and safety matters, developing and implementing continuous audit readiness strategies, and promoting a proactive culture of quality and safety. They will also conduct regular reviews and audits of quality and safety systems, develop quality and safety training content, and train employees on quality management and safety requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Advise business units on resolving nonconformities and implementing corrective actions
- Assess and enhance quality and safety systems to uphold and improve standards
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of quality and safety systems to identify areas for improvement
- Develop quality and safety training content and train employees on quality management and safety requirements
- Partner with business units and implement strategies to ensure continuous readiness for audits
Requirements:
- HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist
- Internal Auditing experience
- Qualified auditor certification
- Relevant Medical Technologist qualification
- Training in ISO 15189 Medical laboratories - requirements for quality and competence
Desirable Skills:
- 1 year of Quality Control experience in a laboratory
- 5 years of experience as a Technologist working within a laboratory setting
- Ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions proactively
- Accreditation and Safety Implementation experience
- In-depth knowledge of QMS principles and practices
- In-depth knowledge of SHE principles and practices
- Proficient in Computer Technology to use various computer applications effectively
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to travel to various locations for audits and training sessions.
