Credit Portfolio Development Manager

As a Product Lead, you will be responsible for driving the development and growth of our credit portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesSome of your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing new credit value propositions and enablement processes for portfolio revenue growth.
- Controlling expenditure and identifying process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
- Identifying opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets.
- Developing, encouraging, and nurturing collaborative relationships across areas of specialization.
- Compiling reports that track progress and guide the business to make informed decisions.
- Ensuring development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes.
- Managing risks in own area of responsibility.
- Identifying opportunities to expand the customer base with potentially profitable customers.
- Providing input into the development of the tactical strategy and developing and implementing a supporting operational strategy.
- Managing team performance in achievement of business objectives.
- Building working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
- Creating solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards.
- Ensuring full understanding of customer needs to deliver quality service.
- Ensuring customer service solutions are aligned to the business operational plan, organizational values, and service standards.
- Communicating how customer service solutions will be implemented and securing buy-in.
- Managing and leading strategic projects.
- Ensuring product knowledge and advice is technically accurate and providing customers with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options.
- Ensuring resolution of customer queries and complaints timeously and ownership of issues.
- Analyzing customer feedback to help improve customer service.
- Proposing ideas to improve customer service.
- Aligning business processes to strategy and clients.
- Conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovative new value propositions.
- Developing new credit initiatives and value propositions that align with the various segment strategies, utilizing current credit products to enable judgmental or scored credit portfolio growth.
- Designing and implementing processes that improve efficiency for any new credit product.
- Implementing, monitoring, and controlling business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability.
- Ensuring the development, alignment, mapping, and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey map.
- Researching, enabling, and consulting on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
- Reviewing existing processes and suggesting innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimize redundancy.
- Monitoring customer feedback reports and aligning processes to maximize efficiencies.
- Engaging with customers to understand their unique requirements, drive value optimization, and advise on the best options for product integration and wealth management.
- Managing the growth of the active customer account base.
- Coordinating and facilitating all approved strategic projects from inception to final execution, including post-implementation evaluation.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements in area of accountability.
- Ensuring the implementation of relevant policies, governance, and practice standards across the business.
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and internal compliance procedures and requirements.
- Ensuring compliance adoption in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by the organization and reviewing in response to audit findings and changes.
- Developing an understanding of risks and risk management approaches.
- Implementing and providing input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within the area of specialization and identifying risks.
- Educating others and making suggestions for improvements.
- Networking and participating in specialist risk forums where required.
- Developing, encouraging, and nurturing collaborative relationships across areas of specialization.
