We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Communications Professional to join our team at Ad Talent in Cape Town. This role involves driving strategic communication planning, media relations, content creation, digital and social media management, event coordination, internal communications, and measurement and analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with our company's objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.
  • Create engaging content across various platforms, including social media, blogs, and press releases.
  • Manage and monitor our digital presence, ensuring consistency and accuracy of brand messaging.
  • Coordinate events and activations that showcase our brand's values and personality.
  • Foster internal communications that promote transparency, collaboration, and open dialogue.
  • Analyse data and research to inform communication strategies and measure their impact.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in communications. You should also have proven experience in media relations, content creation, and social media management.

In addition, we are looking for candidates who can translate and execute communication strategies across diverse audiences, with a particular focus on navigating corporate structures. Your excellent organisational and project management abilities, combined with your strong written and verbal communication skills (English with spoken Afrikaans a bonus), will enable you to thrive in this role.

You should also have digital and social media savvy skills for managing and monitoring our accounts, as well as data analysis and research skills for reporting on communication impact. Internal employer brand communication experience is advantageous, and passion for Cape Town and attending membership events is essential, requiring a reliable vehicle.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the candidate's level of experience.
