Receptionist Job Description

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Ensure a seamless guest experience by providing exceptional service, handling inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, manage communication channels, and ensure timely responses to guest inquiries.
  • Guest Records: Accurately maintain guest information, update records, and ensure data integrity.
  • Cash Handling: Process guest payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Concierge Services: Provide guests with information and assistance on onboard amenities, activities, and excursions.
  • Communication: Coordinate with various departments to address guest needs, resolve issues, and ensure seamless operations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Guest Relations: Build positive relationships with guests, address concerns, and strive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Safety and Security: Follow established safety and security procedures, including monitoring guest access and reporting incidents.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills highly advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a high volume of guest interactions and administrative tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry, reservation processing, and cash handling.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think quickly and make decisions to address guest needs and resolve issues.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer applications and reservation systems.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional Appearance: Presentable appearance and adherence to the ship's grooming standards.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and respect for cultural differences, understanding guest preferences, and adapting service accordingly.
