At Anglo American, we are committed to delivering excellence in our operations. To support this goal, we are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team as a Boilermaker Plater SF Specialist. As a critical member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and commissioning machinery and equipment to agreed standards within your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct Risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Respond to Breakdowns and emergencies as required, exercising sound judgment when dealing with complex situations.
  • Manage material, spare, and equipment availability to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain high-quality work and record results of all legal examinations in the correct format.
  • Complete job cards and descriptions of work and spares used (PM's) accurately.
  • Support subordinates by providing clear work expectations and plans.
  • Conduct on-the-job inductions and participate in the training and development of subordinates and apprentices.
  • Report at-risk behavior, incidents, or injuries promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve shared objectives.
  • Notify supervisors or managers of defects and abnormalities.
  • Recommend suitable employees for career advancement opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2 qualification is necessary.
