Job Title: Senior Trader

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Trader to join our team. As a Senior Trader, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by expanding our client base within multiple commodity groups and areas within South Africa and other receiver markets across the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product use and additions.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage sales pipelines and targets to ensure successful business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and develop new products and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in the fresh produce industry with a strong emphasis on client acquisition and growth.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a logistics provider, export business, perishable commodity agent/retailer, or commercial farming company in a planning, operational, logistics, or solutions role.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across departments.
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of data skills.
  • Willingness and availability to work outside of standard office hours to meet business needs.
