Job Title: Investment Operations Officer

Stonehage Fleming is seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Officer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the centralised Investment Management data, including Client Static, Client Holdings, Security Database, and Pricing functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data requirements within the businesses, ensuring master data quality and integrity.
  • Be the main point of contact for data-related issues in core systems, conduct data analysis to determine root cause of data inconsistencies, and liaise with requests and inquiries regarding investment data.
  • Support Front Office with trade processing on core systems, perform Post Trade Allocation for market, custodial, and Forex trades, and ensure accurate and timely investment book of records reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Investment Performance & Risk, Compliance, Investment Teams, and Client Reporting to maintain key relationships with external providers and third-party data vendors.
Requirements:
  • Relevant data management experience and skill sets, with a strong background in financial markets and investment products.
  • Experience working within the financial sector managing Investment Management data, with a broad knowledge of core financial sector systems (OMS & PMS).
  • Strong analytical and mapping skills of complex data, with the ability to understand projects and articulate different issues to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
