Wildlife Sanctuary Veterinarian

We are looking for an experienced Veterinarian to join our team at the sanctuary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of the sanctuary animals, including conducting veterinary procedures, medical check-ups, and diagnostics.

They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, making observational assessments of animals, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Responsibilities:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a fully qualified veterinarian degree and be registered with the South African Veterinary Council or eligible to do so.

They must also have at least 5 years of experience in a small or mixed animal practice, including wildlife or welfare settings.

Candidates should have a strong animal welfare mindset, a driver's license, and be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
