About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team at the sanctuary.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing veterinary care to the sanctuary animals, including conducting procedures, medical check-ups, and diagnostics.

They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, making observational assessments of animals, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide veterinary care to sanctuary animals
  • Conduct procedures, medical check-ups, and diagnostics

  • Make observational assessments of animals and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a fully qualified veterinarian degree and be registered with the South African Veterinary Council or eligible to do so.

They must also have at least 5 years of experience in a small or mixed animal practice, including wildlife or welfare settings.

Candidates should have a strong animal welfare mindset, a driver's license, and be willing to work extended hours and weekends.

Salary:

R40,000 - R47,000 per annum
