About the Role: We're expanding our Advisory group and need a Transformation Mining Strategist for our Business Transformation/Operational Excellence team in South Africa. This role involves leveraging your understanding of the entire mine value chain to explore and solve challenges in the mining industry, uncovering real value. You'll collaborate with expert consultants from across the board, eager to share their knowledge.
Business Transformation and Operational Excellence (BTOE): Each mining operation is distinct, requiring years of invaluable experience to comprehend how economic and physical changes influence its current and future value. Our business advisory group excels in business improvement and transformation services, boasting a proven history of delivering practical and long-lasting value-added solutions for over twenty years.
Our Approach: We provide a comprehensive operational excellence service to our clients, leveraging our unique intellectual property. This includes analyzing areas for improvement, developing value opportunities, implementing chosen initiatives, and sustaining value realization. Our team also works closely with others in the business to conduct strategic workshops, supply benchmarking data, create impactful executive messages, and establish frameworks for mine planning and business planning.
The Successful Candidate: We're looking for a skilled Transformation Mining Strategist with extensive practical experience in open pit and underground hard rock mining operations. You should have a comprehensive understanding of mine planning and operational practices throughout the mining value chain and support functions. Your background should include experience with various business improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six-Sigma, and Theory of Constraints. You should also possess strong technical, leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
What We Offer: A competitive salary package, commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
