Development and Engagement Officer - Fundraising and Stakeholder Partnerships

Job Summary:

FRIMO RECRUITMENT AGENCY is seeking a highly skilled Development and Engagement Officer - Fundraising and Stakeholder Partnerships to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve financial targets;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, funders, and other key partners;
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and individual giving;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement marketing and communications plans to promote the organization's work and brand;
  • Manage and track fundraising progress, including reporting to senior management and the board of directors;
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in fundraising and stakeholder engagement, and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's fundraising efforts;
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, including proposals, reports, and other related documents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or non-profit management;
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising and stakeholder engagement, including experience with grant writing, donor relations, and event planning;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), and Treasury regulations.
