Store Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of a Mr Price store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the overall objectives, store targets, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management:
- Ensure accurate receipt and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
- Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes, including stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to mitigate risks.
- Oversee the maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
- Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
- Sales Growth and Profitability:
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans and increase sales performance.
- Review and stay up-to-date on in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
- Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing, competitor shopping, and partnering/participating in local events.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct compliance checks through defined processes, including admin checks, store audits, visual audits, and COMO reports.
- Customer Experience Management:
- Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes, including business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, and general housekeeping.
- Leadership and Development:
- Lead and drive the team within the store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
- Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Recruit, administer, and manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in a store managerial position.
- Sales and service management experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Communication skills.
- Retail trade experience.
- Brand, customer, and product understanding.
