We are seeking an experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Career Matters Recruitment and Coaching Services. As a Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing customers with a world-class shopping experience by delivering exceptional store standards, managing an efficient store, and ensuring colleagues feel proud and valued.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations: Ensure store operations are legal and safe, and that all customers receive great service that keeps them returning to the store.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customers feel valued and satisfied with their shopping experience.
- Team Management: Manage and develop a high-performing team, investing in their growth and development, and involving them in our plans to deliver excellent customer service.
- Sales and Growth: Grow sales and achieve weekly sales budgets, grow customer count and basket size, and ensure efficiencies and salaries, waste, and shrink are managed as per budget.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to all legislation and Company policies and procedures, and ensure minimal supervision is required.
- Education: Grade 12, with a Retail Management diploma advantageous.
- Experience: At least 5-6 years working experience as a Store Manager in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Retail/Warehouse Environment.
- Skills: Entrepreneurial, passion for food and knowledge of Fruit & Veg, attention to detail, numeric skills, and proven problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Strong communication skills (across all levels internal and external), ability to deliver according to strict deadlines, and computer literate.
- Foods Store Management: Experience in managing a food store, including stock management, budget management, and food safety management.
- Management Retail: Experience in managing a retail store, including people management, promotions, and computer literacy.
