Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Blended Learning Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving student achievement by overseeing the culture and effectiveness of the Learning Lab, our innovative computer lab. This role requires a strong passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a positive student culture around online learning and small group tutoring, and maintain high behavioral expectations for all students.
  • Coach Students on Computer Programs: Actively coach students on all computer programs and ensure that the educational software used in the lab effectively meets the needs of students.
  • Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Create and submit lesson plans for tutoring sessions, and tutor small groups of students on literacy and math skills.
  • Communicate with Teachers and Administrators: Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create individualized learning plans for students.
  • Manage Learning Lab Resources: Ensure all Learning Lab resources are used and stored responsibly, and report any damages to hardware to the School Operations Manager.
  • Participate in Staff Development: Participate actively in staff development opportunities as a member of the SPARK Schools team.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Grade 12 Certificate, and be studying part-time towards a B.Ed. or PGCE in the Foundation Phase, in their 3rd or 4th year with a view to becoming a qualified teacher.
  • Experience: Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children, and basic computer skills with a willingness to learn new technology.
  • Skills and Mindset: A strong desire to be part of a vibrant and dynamic technology-driven work environment, and a passion for delivering high-quality transformational education at affordable fees.
