Climate and Natural Resources Infrastructure Manager

Our client, a global strategic management consulting firm, is seeking a Climate and Natural Resources Infrastructure Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee various streams, including agriculture, energy, water, and infrastructure, and will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the Climate, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provision of specialist engineering-related services to guide the planning and development of different infrastructure projects.
- Working with clients to develop infrastructure projects in a holistic manner, considering sustainability and impact on beneficiaries.
- Overseeing the work of engineering partners providing in-depth design support services.
- Preparing technical and financial proposals in response to Request for Proposals received from various clients.
- Presenting findings to clients, partners, and senior decision-makers in government, development finance, and the private sector.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate and master's degree in engineering, preferably in one of the fields of water, agriculture, or energy.
- 10 years of working in consultancy, development finance, or a relevant corporate setting.
- Experience in managing and delivering consulting assignments in relevant fields and comfortable with client and contract management.
- Experience in the planning and design of infrastructure development projects and undertaking Feasibility Studies.
- Comfortable with undertaking and guiding junior colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of working in Africa and other frontier markets.
- Foreign language proficiency in French or Portuguese.

- An ability to apply engineering experience and background in a strategic manner to support clients/partners in achieving their development goals.
- Ability to guide and lead Feasibility Studies related to infrastructure development.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver analytical tasks at a high quality.
- An energetic problem-solver, who is open-minded with multi-perspective views on international development, natural resource management, infrastructure delivery, governance systems, and policies.
- Clear commercial acumen and project management capabilities, including project budgeting.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team across different geographies.
- A team player who is productive working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
- Desire to contribute towards sustainable infrastructure development and to make an impact in the lives of communities across the globe.
